Mark your calendars for Sept. 8 and 9

garden, research and education center will offer. The Garden will be on 215
acres seven miles northwest of downtown Tulsa.
The first to arrive Saturday Sept. 8 will receive bulbs and the first to
arrive Sunday Sept. 9 will receive tree seedlings, while supplies last. All
events are free.
During the September weekend, there will be events, activities and
demonstrations for all ages and segments of the community: an interfaith
service, opening of walking trails with guided tours through woodlands,
chuck wagon cooking, cooking demonstrations, butterfly and homing pigeon
releases, face painting, "mud ball" wildflower seed sowing, "Laura Ingalls
Wilder," Impressionist artists, gardening tips for the physically
challenged, "Green" building and plant growing, lectures on Oklahoma's rich
plant heritage and much more.
On display will be the illustrations of Bellamy Parks Jansen, one of the top
botanical illustrators in the country.
The hours are 9 to 5 Saturday and noon to 5 Sunday Events will be at the
Post Oak Lodge and Conference Center which is next to the Garden site.
